Program Goals
*Your child will learn, grow, and experience their world alongside other children 0-5 years old.
*Your child will have the opportunity to participate in daily activities that stimulate their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development. Such activities include: arts & crafts projects, letters & numbers learning, music & dance/movement activities, self-feeding, hand washing, interacting with other children, free play, circle time (i.e. structured play & learning), story time, and nap/quiet time.
*Weather permitting, your child will go on daily outings to the park & playground across the street for fresh air and active play.
*Your child will be provided with 2 meals and 1 snack daily (this is for children over 1 year of age. Younger children will be expected to bring daily milk/meals in order to protect them from food allergies).
*Your child will receive a daily report card to inform you of the specific details about their day (sleep & eating habits, diaper changes, and special notes about their attitudes & interactions).

Creative Crafts*Making crafts incorporating shape, theme, & holidays of the month
*Using supplies such as scissors, glue, tape, paper, tissue paper, feathers, pipe cleaners, recyclables, googly eyes, paint, crayons, markers, etc. |
Gross Motor & Sensory*Playing games such as scavenger hunts, I Spy, sensory box & sensory table, chasing bubbles, writing/drawing with chalk, etc.
*Pretend play *Helping with baking preparation & decoration *Practicing washing hands & face, & dressing (ex. tying, buttoning, zipping, etc.) |
Language, Letters, & Numbers*Making crafts incorporating letter(s), number(s) of the month
*Practicing writing, tracing & coloring letter(s) & number(s) of the month *Learning simple words in English & other languages *Learning letters & simple vocabulary in sign language *Learning pronunciation & practicing recognition of words or pictures that begin with the letter of the month |
Music & Movement*Singing songs along with music

*Talking about and practicing manners such as 'please' & 'thank you', & 'excuse me', learning to cover mouths to cough & sneeze *Learning appropriate interactions with others including family, friends, teachers, strangers, etc. (ex. kind touch, bad touch, listening, sharing, helping, etc.) |
Daily Report Card
Children will receive a daily report card sheet to bring home each day so that parents can be up to date with details about our daycare day.
